Ripon Cathedral (Tuesday)

On our way to Brimham Rocks and the Yorkshire Dales we stopped in Ripon to see the Cathedral. We thought it would be a quick 10 minute peek since we'd already seen so many cathedrals, but we loved it so much we stayed. The site was established as a church in 672 and then the Normans built the first huge part of the cathedral. The crypt beneath the church has been there since the very beginning.
